Admission of Polish Association of Insurance Medicine as a member of EUMASS organization
On 18 October 2015 the EUMASS Board has unanimously adopted PAIM as a member of the organization. EUMASS is an organization associating medical examiners dealing primarily with the needs of the social sector. Invitation for participation was received at the request of dr Grażyna Hart, head doctor of ZUS (Polish Insurance Institution).
EUMASS can be joined by the organizations delegating their national representative to take part in the regular meetings. ZUS is a member of EUMASS, whereas dr Hart is its Polish representative.
Members (national representatives) meetings are held regularly three times a year in Brussels (organization's headquarters), as well as in other European cities.
EUMASS organises an international conference every two years and all interested doctors are invited to participate. The next, 21st EUMASS Conference is scheduled to take place on 9-11 June 2016 in Ljubljana.
PAIM presentation took place in Prague in June this year.. We presented the history, statutory objectives, implemented projects and activities undergoing preparation of our Association. The presentation was interesting due to the Association's wide range of actions and high level of activity. We have also established contacts with key EUMASS members, with regard to the current President, dr Gert Lindeger.We presented the history, statutory objectives, implemented projects and activities undergoing preparation of our Association. At a meeting in Nuremberg in October 2015, the EUMASS Board decided to adopt PAIM as a full member of the organization.
Due to the adoption to EUMASS, our plans include active involvement (together with ZUS) in the organization of the meeting of the EUMASS Board and national representatives in Warsaw (September 2016) and organize a lecture at the Congress in Ljubljana (June 2016).
